Problems with Incoming Calls.

Hi guys,

This one has been bugging me - and I haven't been able to locate the issue - nor have imate been able to come up with any suggestions.

I'm got an imate smartphone2, and I've got a custom .wma ringtone - it's 48 seconds long (but you'll find out this doesn't matter) - yet I can never hear it all.

When someone calls me, the caller can hear a ringing tone in their phone. My phone starts ringing (as expected), but after around 15 seconds, the phone stops ringing and registers at a missed call. At the same time that this is registered as a missed call, the caller can still hear the phone ringing - for another 10 seconds before my provider asks if they want to send me an SMS with their return number in it.

This means there's about a 10 second gap between when my phone stops ringing, and when it should stop ringing.

I have updated the phone to the latest ROM available from the imate site, and tried removing any/all installed applications - but I still get the same issue. The same problem occurs when using the "Windows Default" ringtone...

Has anyone else ever come across this or fixed this problem?

Try setting the ring length to the 30 seconds and see if that helps.

This seems to be right on the money. My provider was doing a call back service after 25 seconds of ringing...

Why the phone stopped ringing at 15 seconds is still a mystery, however with this removed, the phone will ring for over a minute.

As I couldn't disable these from my phone, the service provider did it at their end, and all is ok now :lol:
