Guest fraser Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Hard reset it then, you have nothing to lose. By the way, next time, why not tell us which game!! Might help, others may have seen the same thing.

Guest fraser Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 (edited) Sounds like a hardware fault then, or maybe a corrupt ROM image. Either way, you'll likely need to take it back. Edited February 23, 2005 by fraser

Guest fraser Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 How long have you had it? You could legally request a refund if it's fairly short (less than a month or so), that will encourage them to get some stock to you at the very least. Sounds like it's completely gubbed. Solitare is probably one of the most tested apps on the phone! If that doesn't work, something fundamental is knackered badly.
Guest Chaser81 Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 Alternatively, the ROM is available on the XDA micro-site, and you could try re-flashing it yourself if it corrupt.

Guest fraser Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 Take it back then. 4 days is way too short to huckle you with a lengthy repair. If they won't replace it, say you will get your money back and get it elsewhere. They will then say that the guarantee doesn't cover that. You respond to this with "I'm sorry, but it's my opinion that the goods are not Fit For Purpose, and under the Sale of Goods Act I'm entitled to a refund". As the phone is clearly broken there is NOTHING they can do about it. They either must get you a new one, or give you your money back. I was under the impression that the stock issues were all sorted now. You should be able to get a replacement through them. How about getting them to order it, an carry on using the one you have now until then?

I had the same trouble with them when i had a sony ericsson p900 that wouldn't stay connect to my bluetooth headset so i took it back and they told me there's nothing they can do but try and repair it as the p900 has been discontinued due to the release of the p910i so i sent the owner Mr C Dunstone an email and complained to customer service and within two day they upgraded my p900 to the p910i. But this time they have no XDA IIs or XDA IIi so i sent Mr C Dunstone another email wating for reply
