anyone use/problems with Smartner Duality/Always On Email?

has anyone used or had problems with Smartner Duality/Always On Email? i installed it, then had to uninstall it in order to upograde to a new version. now support just keeps having me install new versions of the program, each time, even after removing the program from the PC and mobile, when the mobile is turned on, before anything else runs, even my home screen i get the errors: "cannot execute \...\smartner duality\ExmCtrlHelper.exe" along with "cannot execute \...\Always On Mail\ExmCtrlHelper.exe" twice each.

Is there a startup file i need to be removing so my mobile does not try to run this program from old instalations? can anyone shed some light on this? i looked in the startup folder, and i dont see anything out of the ordinary. can anyone make a simple list of what is suposssed to be in the startup folder of a stock phone? i shouldnt have any processes from my programs running at startup.

My phone does that sometimes with Oxios ToDo, I think it's just the SD card taking longer to initialise.

Have you tried powering off/on again after it happens?

yea, it happens everytime i start it up, no matter what. i installed it on the card once, and once on the mobile. each time, i get the same error, just referencing a diff loction (card vs storage)

Hiya,

I had the same problem. Here's my tips

remove completely the account that you had with the 'Duality' beta, log into the smarner/internet site and completely delete your account.

AFAIK The Always on client is different from teh beta duality client.

Here's what to do...

pause, then close the client you have installed.

remove the client from the startup group

restart your phone

then you should remove the client using add/remove

reinstall the old client.. called duality whatever

restart the phone

then pause the old dualty client (no need to register)

close it then remove the icon from the startup group

then restart the phone

remove the duality client.

restart the phone.

You need to download the UNSIGNED always-on-client for the C500, othewise it won't work, even with the certificate!

anyways...

re install the unsigned always-on-email client

go through to the smartner site, log into your account and go to register a new client

type in that long stream of numbers, let it register using GPRS

once registered, re install the certificate.

bobs your uncle.
