There are a lot of games that work on the 8390. Most of them, in fact. But very few will work until you install the GAPI patch which is near the top of the Mitac 8380/8390 section of this site. Note that I'm talking about games written for smartphones. As far as java, I couldn't care less and don't know what works on the 8390.
