Just a quick heads-up. I had to have my C500 swapped last Friday after it became stuck in 'headset' mode. Nothing I did would change the profile.

Hats off to orange though. I called late Friday (19:00) and got my replacement 11:00 Saturday. Excellent service, well done.

Anyone else had this?

Also, anyone have a link to the OS update please, I’d look myself but I’m in a bit of a rush.

TIA

Yes, the "stuck in headset" problem has been about, and has been known about, since the original SPV. Last I heard, it was due to a small metal flap that is moved when the headset jack is inserted. If the metal sticks, the phone thinks the jack's in the whole time. Lots of posts are dedicated to this and lots of people list solutions - should've searched the forum my friend!

And, yes, I could find the link to the OS update but I don't think I've got the time right now! :(

Oh, alright - I know the link is always on the right hand side of www.coolsmartphone.com website, or go onto www.orange.co.uk and select your phone as the C500 and then click the top link next to the phone.

Common problem with cheap sockets, the metal lever of the push to break switch in the socket doesn't return back and the connection isn't restored. They should have used another method or a better quality socket. The problem is worse since it's a 2.5mm socket.

I had this problem but a reset fixed it so I dont see how that can be caused by a physical prob with the phone? Agree that OCS were fast at getting a replacement out anyway (after i had reset and fixed it).
