Freeware GPS

Anyone know of any free GPS software. Im interested in the GEOCaching, so you need to be able to put the GPS co-ords in and hopefully get a compass pointing you in the right direction - Im not bothered about terrain maps or directions - just a nice compass showing which way to go. I got tomtom mobile on already but you cant navigate to a GPS H.M.S. or degrees point.
