Headset answer button/WMP plugin

Is it possible to have the answer button on my SMT5600's headset change the song via the WMP plugin? What I'm hoping for is a way to change to the next song while to phone is keypad locked and in my pocket. I hate having to pull out my phone, and unlock the keys just to change the song.

I don't know of a way to use the headset button as a WMP controller, but if there is a way, I'd personally prefer for the headset button to act as play/pause. (Which would be particularly useful when wearing gloves and a helmet!)

Unfortunately, at the moment I don't think there's a way to do either.

That's a bummer. That's the only thing I miss about my Nokia 6230 was the ability to use the headset button to advance the song even though the keys were locked, so I didn't have to pull it out of my pocket when walking to class.
