hi all,

Just got my shiny new silver c500 (one of a few females who got one Im sure)

Ive been trying to get the thing app unlocked with no success.

Im trying to do it as per faq through the orange dev site but it looks like the

page is dead.

I type in all my details go through all the imei etc and it just times out after about 10-15 mins. :cry:

does this site still work?

anybody had any luck recently?

anybody help?

A few people have reported problems with the OTA unlock process recently

There doesn't seem to be a solution, it's just a question of "keep trying". I took me 4 or 5 attempts last time I did it.

Don't forget that you can run the web-based unlock from your PC, which might be easier if you have to do it repeatedly.

Yeah ive been trying to unlock my supervisors all day and Last night with no luck but it states his Emei number can not be found on thier database even tho I have used his GPRS to the max today.lol Only joking Dave if your reading this.

I will keep trying tomorrow as well as I have unlocked loads of phone this way

So don't give up hope Donna :lol:

Thx for th info, tried using the action register program using pass through (learnt something new today!) and it just freezes (even when the connection is active)

I get the same problem saying that imei is not registered and to use the action register.

the program says im registered and locked

Am I right in assuming its big ole oranges website thats at fault here?

Tip: In Settings-Data Connections-Options, make sure the idle disconnect timer is set to 5 or 10 minutes. Sometimes if the site is running slow the internet connection can timeout.

and make sure you have connected to the internet from the phone at least once.

Hi Guys,

thanks to all that replied,

just to let you know i logged on today at 4pm with the +44**** ****** as my mobile number and it rejected me again so i tried straight after removing the space and it instantly worked,

whether i was just lucky or the site only works during business hours i dont know
