Guest with_5 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Help! For some reason, the Home Screen is gone off my MPX220. All I have now is my proveder (Edge Wireless) and the time. There is a message that says, "No home screen layouts can be found. Install a valid home screen layout and then select it using the Home Screen item in Settings." I have gone to the Home Screen tab in Settings and selected one of the preset home screen layouts, but nothing happens. Also, all of the selections for the background images are gone except for 'default'. I am 100% sure I didn't delete anything. We had to wait for a week for our provider to figure out how to configure the phone, so I am avoiding trying the hard stop. My husband called motorola for me and was told they can't fix this type of problem. Any help/ideas would be great. I am challenged by this phone as it is.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Welcome to the site  First of all try rebooting the phone and see if you can select any layouts etc. Next try installing one of the homescreens from the download section here and see if that helps. It sounds like something has gone wrong with the registry and the only real fix for this is a Hard Reset which will wipe the phone and put it back to it's factory defaults. This means you would have to resync your phone and reinstall your applications.
