Guest ingrambw Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Unless I am missing it some where, and that is a possibility, there is no area that describes the features of current and new phones that are coming. A matrix of sorts might be very useful to new Smartphone users. I for one am looking for a device that fits the following, but there are some many out there it is hard to get accurate info on them: Windows Mobile 2003 SE SDIO, for the future Wifi Card Drivers Unlocked, also for the future Wifi Card Drivers BT It seems that most of the new phones are coming with Mini SD and BT, or there are phones like the one I currently have, the i600, that have WM 2003 and SDIO but are locked and probably will not support the new SDIO Wifi Drivers I think a Matrix of phones and features, sort of like the one in Pocket PC Magazine but more geared towards smartphones and the features they have, would be extremely useful to people looking for new phones specifics. Thanks, Brian
Guest squall Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 I did one a few months back, but havent updated the published version in a while. I have a dynamic version which is fully up to date, and will try get that online over the weekend old version at http://www.wmdevices.com/smartcom.htm new version at www.wmdevices.net (when its online!)
Guest Confucious Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 Windows mobile 2005 has built in WiFi support - I would expect to see phones with built in WiFi come along soon after (there's already on in the news section but OS seems to be 2003 and no BT) Until a phone is actually on sale I tend to take all announcements with a fairly large pinch of salt. How many people are still waiting for the Mp220? When/if it is actually released in the UK it will probably be superceded!

Extremely important! How great would it be to use Pocket Streets/TomTom among other programs such as Smart Hiker or something! Just great, who wants to carry around an external GPS? I Will never do this. Soon I think they will be integrated. Once a proper phone comes out, wifi, gps, 3g, edge etc (lol, really only wifi, gps are important) then I will buy it. And as long as theres a querty keyboard, such as the HTC Universal, or more acceptable, the mpx 300 (looks like a regular phone)
