c500 and gps reciever

hi guys, I do loads of sailing and was looking for a hand held gps but stumbled upon the outdoor navigator software for windows smartphones - since i already have a c500 i think i may try and kill two birds with one stone.

I need a gps reciever to complete the program - anyone have any recommendations - what would be ideal is a small device that plugged into the usb shapped charger port on the bottom. Otherwise a bluetooth one would work -

I could place this in another pocket for example of a water proof case. What are the ranges on the BT recievers?

If anyone happens to have a one for sale email me at

carlrdonaldson at a o l . c o m - without spaces.

Cheers

A wired one won't work (atleast at the moment anyway) The usb port on the phone is slave only so cannot be used to plug external devices in.

A bluetooth one will work fine and bluetooth has a 30foot range

Fortuna Clip-on's are known for being one of the best bluetooth GPS units, they cost £109 from globalpostioningsystems.co.uk
