Guest m80arm Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Is it possible to send files via bluetooth with the standard software? I have installed resco file manager and that doesn't have the capability either?
Guest Chaser81 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Resco doesnt support the Bluetooth stack that the Jam has built into its ROM which is why it doesnt support it (though Resco will send via Bluetooth on the M2000 - different Bluetooth stack ya see). In order to send via Bluetooth, first turn Bluetooth on through settings and then go to File Explorer (the built in one, not Resco). Find the file you want to send, tap and hold with your stylus on it and a menu will appear. Choose "Beam". This will come up with a new screen which by default is for sending files via infra-red, but if you have Bluetooth on, it will search for and display any devices in range, allowing you to send to these as well.

Guest MitchellO Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 I found it confusing at first too. My iPAQ used the Widcomm BT stack (much better). I tried the beam option in File Explorer and at first i didnt think it was the way to do it because finding devices took soooo long.
