Guest tiler65 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 (edited) Is it possible to set the silent mode to vibrate on all tones like n*kias and on the t610? i have a c500 by the way Can i store ringtones on my storage card and select them directly from the storage card to play them as the space on the phone refuses to allow anymore files (especially .wav files) I have just purchased a 1 gig card so i know i have the space on my card so if anyone can tell me how my phone can read off my storage card to search for ringtones in the selection process i would be grateful Many thanks as usual Edited February 24, 2005 by tiler65
Guest Drewtech Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I use a wma file on the SD card as my ringtone so I don't see why a wav on there shouldn't work.
Guest Confused Stu Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Yes, you can set it to vibrate with all tones - just go into "Settings", "Profiles" and then select "Edit profiles". Now you can set any ones saying "Play" (or whatever it says!) to "Vibrate and Play". I know if you put the sounds into the "My Documents" on your MiniSD it's meant to pick them up, but I personally have a "tones" folder on my MiniSD to make it neater. Then you just have to download "RJV Regtweaks UI" from Airfagev.com and tell it where this folder is. Then it'll let you select them as normal under the Sounds menu in Settings. Added bonus, RJV RegTweaks is free and lets you do some other handy stuff - like changing the operator name on your homescreen from "Orange" to whatever you want and lots of other cool stuff. Happy playing!

Guest Confused Stu Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 You've got two separate things to alter the Registry on the phone: PHM Registry editor - this is just like RegEdit on your PC, with this it's very easy to mess your phone up! RJVRegtweaksUI - this is literally a program with a dozen or so categories. Just select a category (e.g. Operator Name), select to replace Orange, then type what you want it to be and press Done. Nearly all programs alter the registry in some way, it's just this program does nothing else! It might be possible to mess your phone up with it, but I don't know how. In short, download it, try it, and if it doesn't seem cool after 5 cautious minutes just delete it.
