Guest Pennan Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 This interesting comment was found on Marcus Perryman's WebLog: Its an area the MED team has been working on for the next version of Windows Mobile - to separate the upgrade mechanism for bits that Microsoft owns from the bits that the OEM owns. This should mean that Microsoft can offer things like Media Player 10 updates directly from the Microsoft site. Link to source: http://blogs.msdn.com/marcpe/archive/2005/02/14/372192.aspx - see one of the feedback comments from Marcus. This is something many Typhoon owners now wish was already in Windows Mobile 2003 SE so that Windows Media Player 10 Mobile could be easily downloaded and installed!
