Guest corruption x Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 Hey I wanted to know if there was a way to delete the "protected" items from the start menu, or at lease move them down the list. It really sucks always having to scroll through three screens of crap before finding the app which I actually want to use. If it requires reflashing the phone with a hacked firmware, THAT IS A VALID OPTION!!! thank you!
Guest GravityArc Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 There's a better option. Just browse to the Start Menu folder (/Storage/windows/Start Menu) in File Manager. Then select the item you don't want, choose Menu->Properties and make it Hidden. Poof! No more item in the Start Menu list.

Guest corruption x Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Not if it's an ilegal version it's not. and no need to shout :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry, I just meant something like a linux flash, or a modified flash, etc. Or like you know, Rockbox does for jukeboxes... As for the other advice, thanks but it doesn't work. The files don't show up in File Manager. They only show up using Smart Explorer, and when I try to modify the files, it tells me it cannot change them...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 5, 2005 Report Posted March 5, 2005 Have you tried unchecking Hide hidden files in the Options menu in file manager? that's one thing most people miss.
