Guest clemonator Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I've got a SMT5600 without any plugins (hard to hard reset the other day) and it won't work... gives the infamous "No layout" etc. Is there something I am missing?
Guest m-d-w Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 dont worry about extra plugins, it just uses the standard ones. erm have u tried using the update. ive had that a few times, but then just using the update has worked. i think ive screwed the .cab so that might be why... get back in touch if you still have problems after downloadin the update from the first post. cheers, matt

[synced] 1. Copied CAB file to phone 2. Using File Manager, executed CAB and successfully installed it. -error on screen- 3. Switch theme from active MiniMCE to another 4. Copied all files from ZIP "update" 5. switched back Error still occurs   Edited March 3, 2005 by clemonator
Guest m-d-w Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 (edited) sorry the only phon i have tried it with is the C500 and it all work fine, i dont have any other phones to try and sort the problem so unless someone else can look at the file for me i cant really help that much, but ill look at the cab file and play with the settings if anyone else has the same problems as clemonator, please post here and see if its a reoccuring problem.. cheers, matt Edited March 7, 2005 by m-d-w
Guest los4tats Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 I have a mpx200 and I installed it and I got the same error no homescreen layout found I also used the .zip update and it still dosn't work I like the homescreen and would like to use it!!!
Guest m-d-w Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 hmmm... this is odd... but try this... 1. uninstall the cab, and delete all the files to do with the mini mce theme that are in \Storage\Application Data\Home 2. change the homescreen to a different one 3. copy the contents of this new file to \Storage\Application Data\Home .. now try setting the homescreen again i hope this works for you... if not get back to me... sorry for the problems matt.MiniMCE.home.zip

Guest TheDiggia Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 My homescreen is the same of sugardad... (i've an i-mate sp3)
Guest m-d-w Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 this is weird because im not using non-standard homescreen plugins. im not too sure whats going on really im sorry to say.. ive tried this on 2 SPV C500's and they both work fine.. all i can ask is that if anyone knows anything about homescreens on the sp3 or Qtek 8020 then can you have a look at my home.xml file and see if theres any incompatabilities with these phones... ill have a look at my code, and ill have a search on the net and ill see what i can do. sorry about this, but feel free to rip my home.xml file apart if you think you can get it to work on the two mobiles mentioned above. ill get back to you soon, hopefully with a fix! matt
