Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 wma tones only work as ringtones and not notifications. The biggest problems people have with the MPX200 is putting 2003 OS on it. Apart from the legal side of things 2003 was never released to the public and did not go through the proper testing procedures so problems will appear. The No SIM error is one of the common ones. First of all check that the SIM is located properly as the retaining clips can break easily. If this is the case then a small folded piece of paper between the battery and the SIM will fix this. If this is not the case then the only route appears to be to reflash the phone as a hard reset does not normally work.
Guest billo3000 Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 Okay cheers - ive actually gone back to 2002 now as 2003 is crap i couldn't retrieve my e-mails or use msn so i ditched it! Can you use .wma tones as ringtones on 2002? if so how? they are on my card at the mo but my phone wont pick them up! cheers scott
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 Unfortunately not you will have to convert them to wav files. there is a sticky in this section for converting mp3 to wav so you can still get the tunes you want to have.
