Guest aca03dah Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 So I've flashed my phone with the latest QTek build and forgot to note the BTMobile settings when I had it with the Orange build. I have a website: http://www.btsettings.com/btwebota/phoneList.htm which details settings for phones but not the C500... Can anyone be so kind to help? I need to know the settings for each, ie Dial Up, Proxy, GPRS. Step by step wld be great too... I've checked the Repository and not had any luck finding them there. BTW, did you know that Qtek are releasing a build for the c500 with wmp10? Thanks!
Guest aca03dah Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 So that I get this sorted, I'll offer £10 to the first person to give me the correct settings... Paypal only though.

Guest martin Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 Start here with MS smartphone setup  http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showforum=138 Let us know if you get it working OK.
Guest aca03dah Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 Nope, still get the same error message  Could it be because I'm using the Qtek build? Should i wait a few weeks for the updated one?
Guest martin Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 I get an error message: Unable to connect. Verify you have network coverage ... etc<{POST_SNAPBACK}>You should really get this message. I would have expected 'page not found' but not 'unable to connect'. 1 Do you have the top centre G displayed on the phone ? 2 Check that you have the APN, username and password typed correctly. 3 If you have your GPRS connection attached to the WAP connection (in Settings Data connections) then make sure that IE also points to the WAP connection with 'Auto detect settings' unticked.
Guest RubberChicken Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 I'm having the same problem with mine. I'm using a BT Fusion SIM if that makes any difference? - I know BT piggyback off T-Mobile and Vodaphone, and all the BT Fusion phones are on Vodaphone - will I need different settings?
Guest t2000s Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 I'm having the same problem with mine. I'm using a BT Fusion SIM if that makes any difference? - I know BT piggyback off T-Mobile and Vodaphone, and all the BT Fusion phones are on Vodaphone - will I need different settings? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I found this set up below worked for me with BT GPRS! In settings, data connections, GPRS Connection, add the following, set up for WAP Network: Name: BT Mobile GPRS Access Point: btmobile.bt.com User name: bt Password: [none] Do not enter any DNS or IP Address information. Under the Proxy Connection, do the following: Name: BT Proxy "Connect from" Select WAP Network "Connects to" The Internet Proxy (Name:Port): 212.183.137.12:8799 Type: HTTP User name: bt Password: [none] In the Data Connections screen, Set the WAP Connection to BT Mobile. Within Internet Explorer, turn off the "Automatically detect settings" option and specify connect by WAP Network. Longwinded but worth it!
