MMS Settings O2

Recommended Posts

Since unlocking the phone and using O2 sim I have been directed to the link for the GPRS, Internet and MMS settings for my C500. I have managed to set up Internet and WAP, I think, but I cannot send or recieve MMS.

I have the settings but have put them into the phone incorrectly. Can someone please direct me to a link for or give me an idiot's guide to putting the settings into the phone??

Currently I am being told "Not all messages could be sent or received. To try again, select menu etc......"

Anyone help??

Thanks!!!

Hello Leights,

While I can't give you any technical advice on how to do it or where to find the settings but...

On the Orange network it is possible to call customer services and ask them to send through 'SIM Updates' which automatically put in the settings. They arrive in the form of text messages and require you to do no more than delete the messages and then turn your phone off and on.

I don't know if that is the case with O2 but I thought I'd pass on my thoughts on the matter.

Good Luck,

Barry

:D Thanks to Dingwalldemon I've managed to set up full wap and mms on my spv c500. I had to make some adjustments though. In the proxy settings the type is wap, and not http, on my fone anyway. As well as the mms settings which go into the gprs settings, you have to set up the mms account. Do this with start, 1, 1, 8, 5. Then select o2 mms

ip 193.113.200.195

port 9201

mmsc address http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 Hope this helps. The mms settings go in account set up
