power button

Has anyone else had problems with the power button on the imate jam? Mine will not start up after being on standby for a period of time.

I have only had it two days and its happened 4 times already. I know its nothing to do with the backlight or me not being used to the way the machine works. My XDA2 had the same system with teh backlight.

The only way I can get it to come back to life is take the battery out and put it back in.

I fear that this one is going to have to go back to expansys

Not had any problems myself... though i've only had it for a week so far. What actually happens? does the whole thing just fail to repsond once it's been on standby for a while?

I have had this happen VERY occasionally with my Jam. A soft reset always fixes it without loss of data. A minor annoyance which will undoubtedly be fixed with the next I-Mate ROM update (I hope!).

I have the XDA II Mini (same device, different ROM) and it works perfectly. No power button problems. Very responsive actually. Turns on and off instantly, unlike all the other PPCs i have owned (my Axim X5 took about 2 secs to come on!!)
