Guest xenophobe Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I'd really like to see a few games get ported over: Battlezone (arcade) Donkey Kong Dragon's Lair (lol... wishful thinking) Any other games that you think should be ported? Any programmers out there willing to give some of them a try?
Guest muff Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 please, please, please - you cannot 'port' when there is no source code available I know it's a minor little difference to say 'make' or 'clone' instead of 'port' - but there is an important difference from the programmers point of view and wouldn't you rather that the programmers were spending their time making new games, and not just clones ? muff
Guest Angultra Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 (edited) Any FPS games would be great...I'd like to see Duke 3D to continue to be optimized for the SPV platform. For Pocket PCs, I'd have to say Warcraft II is #1 on the list. Edited March 6, 2005 by Angultra
Guest xenophobe Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 Umm... get technical please. ;) Port, convert, recreate, etc... I don't see many new games coming out for the Smartphone, so yeah, all the programmers who need something to do should start converting more titles.. :D
Guest drblow Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 If you haven't seen new games for the smartphone then you simply haven't been looking hard enough. How could you have missed Virtual Mobile Pool, or Flux challenge - both released in the last couple of months? With those 2 games on my phone I hardly have time for anything else. There are new games coming out all the time on handango, clickgamer etc.
Guest TigerNet Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 ...Mozzies...(from the Siemens SX1)
Guest JLang Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 (edited) I'd love to see more strategy/board games, such as RISK or at least one of the PPC Risk clones ported over, also other boardgames in GOOD versions, such as Monopoly and even a good version of Checkers (have tried two that are crap) and Backgammon. Edited March 14, 2005 by JLang
Guest ad69 Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 yea i agree board games are a classic. i'd like to see some strategy games.

I'd love to start to learn how to Port these games, they ran on my early computers must be able to play on this miniture master piece that is the SPV C500!

Have you ever tried to steer and accellerate at the same time? :D Other than that, there haven't been any exciting titles for a while.
Guest Confused Stu Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 Need to do two things at once on a C500? Set steering to the stick/roller/direction thingy and accelerate to * That way, you can do both at the same time! No, I haven't got flux challenge, and I know xenophobe's got an SMT5600 rather than a C500, but if it's worked on Final Fight2 on my PocketSNES it's gotta be worth a go on everything else!! :D
Guest xenophobe Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 Well, I just bought Pocket Mini-Golf bundle for 40% off, so that's keeping me busy for now. lol
