Guest C500mad Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 No details on upgrade yet but they normally launch the upgrade handset at about the same time as the new one. I was told a week ago that it was 6 to 8 weeks until launch as it needs to go through testing and then there is the wait for the order to be shipped. No idea on contract price but aiming at £100 less than the M2000.

Guest C500mad Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Latest news - Still May for M500 with 4000 coming in the first shipment - no car kit at launch - C550 looking like may only be available through retail and not for business customers but we shall see - looks like Orange is not taking the C600 - Edge coming later on with speeds of up to 90K/bits download - 30 K/bits upload and HSDPA coming after that with speeds of up to 1 - 2 meg/bits per sec - Sony Ericsson GC99 coming late in the year - datacard - Wlan/3G/GPRS/EDGE

What's the earliest in your contract you'd be able to get an upgrade? Most say wait 'till the 11th month, this person says that you might be able to pull it off after your 9th month. Which is true? Guest C500mad Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Loukas - It normally depends upon your spend level but I do not know what the levels are - If you are a reasonable user then you can upgrade with no early upgrade fee after 9 months - If you are a low user then it is 12 months

Guest Loukas Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 (edited) Hey C500mad, I'm on the 25pounds pm tariff (120 minutes), but with the Orange Care insurance and some extra minutes talk my bill comes out to about 35-40 pounds per month. Do you think they'd go for it if I tried calling the upgrades department, and then possibly going through disconnections etc? I was hoping to get them to match T-mobile's 22pounds/pm - 200 minutes, plus 200 texts, with the JAM / M500 included in the upgrade. Thank you for your reply! Loukas Edited March 13, 2005 by Loukas
