MDA Compact - do I need the camera patch?

As the title says - do I need the patch? (and where can I download it from if I cant join club imate??)

MDA Compact

ROM version 1.01.00 WWE

ROM date 21/10/04

ExtROM version 1.01.128 WWE

Camera version 2.70 (build 17715)

I tried to join club imate to see if there was any more info, but couldnt log on due to it 'not being an imate device' (from support e-mail)

Device seems to have 2 IMEI numbers - one from the phone dialler and one under the device info, but neither works....

The MDA Compact is not an iMate JAM. You need to have an iMate JAM branded device to access their site I would think.

I have tried the I-mate Patch on my Compact and it made the camera 10 times worse!

I know that when you do a hard reset on the device that one of the cabs it installs from the extended ROM is a camera patch but i'm not sure if this is the same as the I-mate patch or a T-Mobile specific one.

I tried it on my MDA. Made no real difference, maybe slightly worse in poor light so removed it. Works fine anyway.

What's wrong with the camera? It's FAR better than I expected anyway! I think it's bang on for polaroid type snaps!

hey guys do your MDAs have a video capture problem i.e it captures video slower than audio so when you play it back the audio is out of sync?

Mind, it was a badly-shot home video of the 'selubrious' kind, so there wasn't much dialogue... :D

S'alright, deleted it in a hurry when I realised that it existed (Couple of Tequilas too many), sudden feeling of dread... just as my workmate was exploring my snazzy new toy!
