SPV C500 cannot receive via Bluetooth

I tried sending a file to my mates phone via BLUETOOTH in Smartexplorer but for some reason it will not connect to his phone to send the file. I know that my phone can send via Bluetooth as I sent something to my sister straight afterwards.

The strange thing is that my mate can send stuff via Bluetooth using SmartExplorer too but just cannot receive them.

The only difference is that I've had my phone unlocked so that I can use my O2 sim card in it, and he has not and is still on Orange, this is the only possibilty I can think of why it is doing this?

Can anyone help with this?? Its driving us nuts!!

Cheers

what device are you using to send file on your mate?

C500 if I'm not mistaken :D

Just checking you have bonded the two devices?

Also what phone has your friend got? Is it an E200? as I have had problems with them before.

Nope my mate has exactly the same phone as me... a SPV C500!! The two devices have been set up, he can send me files via Bluetooth so its definitely ok that way. And I can Definitely send files via Bluetooth on my phone!!

Its so strange why he can send them but not receive them!! Is there any settings that I need to check?

Check that you have "Accept incoming beams" checked in settings. If you dont, it wont accept ANY files that are incoming, either via infra-red or bluetooth.
