Auto SMS on Call Rejection

Hi,

I was wondering if there is an app which sends out an SMS automatically when you reject a call.

Say, your in a meeting, your phone is in Slient mode, and you get a call from someone in your contact list. On Rejection of the call the app sends out a predefined sms like 'In a meeting. I'll call you in 20 mins' or something like that.

Has anyone used an app like this?

Thanks

While it's a nice idea to have, making applications that can access the radio stack could be open to abuse. This has already happened on symbian phones with at least one virus making calls to premium rate numbers without the owner knowing about it.

Hi awarner,

To be very frank i was not aware of such incidents. I m very new to the world of samrt phone. But here we are just talking about sending out a SMS. We have so many freeware apps which do that. eg., Rey's SMS B'Card, or SMS Scheduler.

Last night i was thinking about just the logic part of it, please feel free to correct me here. The way this app could be designed:

Incoming call -> Reject Call

-> App Checks Phone Mode-> Is mode Silent -> Yes / No

If No -> Stop

If Yes -> Check Caller in Contacts -> Yes/No

If No -> Stop

If Yes -> Check Number of caller, Mobile Phone -> Yes/No

If No ->Stop

If Yes -> Prompt Send SMS -> Yes/No

If Yes -> Display List of SMS (or Just Predefined SMS) -> Send SMS

Do you think such an app is prone to the type of probs you have mentioned?

Thanks
