C500 home screen next appointment refresh/update?

Dear All,

Apologies if this is a FAQ, could not find the answer.

I find it rather annoying that on SPV C500 running Smartphone 2003 updating/refreshing the next appointment on the home screen seems to be happening sort of at random. This morning I had yesterday morning's appointment there, even though my yesterday afternoon ones came and went, and this morning's lecture wasn't showing. I did not wait to check whether it would remind me about it. Deleting yesterday's appointment prompted the change. Also, the next appointment could start showing while the first is in progress, I (usually) tend to know where I am, so reminding me about that is sort of redundant.

In fact 'rather annoying' is a severe understatement, as I am b%&^ furious.

While on the topic, is there a way to display two next appointments? Too much to ask?

Best wishes,

W.

found this in the FAQ section:

Calendar:

---if you have a series of days in your calendar each with an all day appointment and nothing else (no timed appointments), the appointments do not change from day to day, they remain on the first all day appointment until there is a day with a timed appointment which then causes the change.

this doesn't sound exactly like the problem that you're having but it shows that the calendar is buggy.

I thought it might be the case. Rather defies the purpose of the calendar display on the home screen if it is not reliable. I had a busy day today and sometimes it did, and sometimes it did not .... I don't like it!

Oh, and turning the phone off and on again helps. But somehow I don't think this should be necessary.

I am sure though I have seen some reference to this problem somewhere ... anybody knows where it could have been and willing to help the memory-challenged man here?

W.
