Peak 512mb Mini SD Formatting Question...

Hi All

Firstly Id like to say this forum has been the best by far in helping me get the most out of my phone and thank you for a wikkid site :D

I just got one of these today, it appears to be unformatted cos my c500 wont recognise it.

I don’t have an sd/minisd reader for my pootah and cant go and buy one just yet.

Can you get a formatting proggie for the SPV or is there a built in function that’ll do it?

I tried the only one google threw up (flash format for pocket pc) but it said it was not intended for the device... :?:

Any Suggestions?

Fairly sure there's a built in feature, but if not, SP task manager can do it, from the guys who make SmartExplorer. Sure you can get it quite easily, like off coolsmartphone.com

I thought that would be possible too but the trouble is I cant even see the card in any Explorer/Task Manager proggie to select/format it

the phone just dont see it... :D

I have just tried it in a usb reader and it appears to be dead...... :D :?:

I've had 2 or 3 "dead on arrivals" over the years, so it's not unheard of

If you got it from a reputable supplier you can return it and they should swap it out
