Other day, I took my phone outta my pocket, been workin fine earlier, take a look at screen, and its stuck on the Canary MV bootloader screen.

My phone is an original Orange SPV. It was on v 1.6.1.10 rom before this problem arose, and according to the boot screen Canary MV is v1.10. I have tried reinstalling v1.6.1.10 to the phone, but when the installer does manage to get through a whole installation, the phone will not power up through the power key. The only way i can get the phone to start is by placing it in the USB cradle. As a last resort, i attempted to try a hard reset (which i had tried to avoid, as it seems that the battery is not charging either). This too fails to work, as it will not boot in a manner that i can reach a hard reset prompt.

Does anyone have any idea on how to correct this problem? I have no idea what has caused it, and have tried the solutions offered towards other more common problems already to no avail.

Thanks in advance for your help.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

when you say installing v1.6.1.10 you mean flashing it right?

try turning off any Anti-virus and firewalls and reflashing it see if that works

my C500 Got stuck on the boot loader and when I unlocked it and the unlocking people said to turn off my Firewall and Anti-Virus and try again and what you know it worked again :D

other wise I would think of Sending to orange or HTC and get them to look at it
