SP3 ROM on SP3i

Does anyone know if the i-mate SP3 ROM update will work on the SP3i.

I still cannot work out why the SP3 ROM was released in January and its now March and we're still waiting for the SP3i update.

If anyone has done this ROM upgrade on the SP3i, I would be extremely grateful if you could post your results here. :D
