I was just playing pokemon on my phone and i was thinking how terrible the joystick was and what I could do about it. Then my eyes fell upon my old Sony Ericsson on my desk and I remembered how much I loved it's joystick (that was about the only thing I loved), so I embarked on the journey of ripping the joystick out of the SE and sticking it in my beloved AudioVox. Now before I throw caution to the wind and hack away at this $300 piece of equipment does anybody have anything to say about taking apart the 5600 (other then it will void the warranty) or about how the joystick works? Anybody have upclose macro pics of it or pinouts etc? I have already taken apart the SE and have some pics attached of it's joystick and configuration. I used a multimeter to measure continuity of the pads during different actions and now just need to solder it to the 5600. Will keep you posted on how it works/looks when I am done. Maybe this will even allow multipress (In and Direction) at the same time!!
