Hi all, just a quick question, has anyone managed to find a site selling the 2000mAh batteries for the pda2k in the UK? I've found a couple in the states (and one that has the 3000mAh battery!) but would like a UK site...

Cheers,

Stuart

really not much bigger than the standard one.........somehow it feels better to hold with a slightly larger battery............wondering now just how much longer it will go between charges!

took a fortnight to arrive but stock was out until last week so really only a week to arrive

Hi boyo69,

Can you please let us all know if there's a significant & worthwhile difference in batt. life?

Thanks,

well.......

did the obligatory 12hr charge and also left it on charge attached to the pda over night

just took it off cradle and it shows 96%!!!

i have started wifi and i can actually watch the indicator go down! now down to 82% after 10mins use.....

i think other factors are to blame here though.....just recently changed to vodafone and signal is crap at home......the conservatory is the only signal magnet but it is pretty cold out there overnight! so, what with the cold and the signal searching, maybe not a fair trial.....will try today in warm and good signal conditions.....

let me report back later guys

This sounds suspect to me, especially as lithium-ion batteries do not require a huge conditioning charge. Back in the days of NiCd and NiMH batteries, yeah, but now with li-poly and li-ion, don't need it.

Also we're now rid of memory effect, so unless your phone was REALLY gobbling the juice, I'd be quite worried about that performance.

Perhaps put flight mode on and just test it out with the wireless, that at least would give you a reliable test not having to worry about poor GSM signal.
