I am New to this so go easy on me. SPV C500 user and I'd like to download some of the wallpaper and other odds and sods I've seen and I bought a SPV extras CD off ebay and I'd like to use one of the ringtones off there. How on earth do I get it from CD or Internet onto my phone. Also has anyone found a good real music ringtone site for the SPV because I havent and can I have vibrate and ringtone at the same time as Nokia phones. Also how do I download MP3's and listen to them....do I have to usde the internet on my SPV to download them or can I do it via my home internet connection and if so can anyone give me some decent MP3 websites.....can I make them my ringtones also. :D

Welcome to the site :D

To install homescreens place the cab or hme file in

Storage\Windows\Start Menu\Accessories

then on the phone go to your accessories folder and run the file you have just placed there. The homescreen will then install.

As for music the phone cannot play mp3 as ringtones but you can always convert your own in to wav or wma format.

To have your phone vibrate and ring at the same time go to Settings\Profiles

you can thyen edit the profile and chose ring and vibrate etc.

Many thanks for that. Would I be best to download the MP3's from my mobile or via my PC then just copy them onto my mobile. Also when i copy stuff into the smartphone does it save to the storage card or the phones memory and if it is the phones memory how much do they have. Oh and one more quick thing....how do I get the phone to vibrate and ring when I get a text message....at the moment I only get a ring even though it says ring and vibrate on the profile options bit......I keep missing text messages!

You should always download anything to your PC first to avoid high GPRS charges.

Transfer files (MP3s, whatever) over using ActiveSync. You can put your music files onto the storage card - Windows Media Player will pick them up.
