Guest hypersonik Posted March 5, 2005 Report Posted March 5, 2005 (edited) I have an orange E200 that has been unlocked using the update patch from the french website. I'm currently using an o2 sim in it which the phone finds and accepts with no problem. However, during calls the phone has a nasty habit of turning itself off (ie, like pulling the battery off). It turns back on no problem after it has turned off. The phone doesnt turn off any other time and works normally under all other conditions. Anyone have any clues? Should I fork out the £20 to get the IMEI number unlocker thing? TIA Edited March 5, 2005 by hypersonik
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 5, 2005 Report Posted March 5, 2005 As the temporary SIM unlock hack does not ulock properly as such it has been reported to cause problems for a few people but it's not a definate problem. What was the charge on the battery like at the time when the phone powers off? as a low battery can also give you similar problems.
Guest hypersonik Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Charge was plenty full. I bought it off my mate who had it repaired and hasnt used it since. The repair was for the thumbstick, which hardly seems related. Worth paying the £20 quid for less hassle?
