Guest klinx Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 Hey does anyone know if there is any way of purchasing new covers for the c500 and how there fitted, mines become really scratched and it looks nasty.
Guest Confused Stu Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 It is possible to strip the phone down and potentially replace the cover (follow the "QUICK LINKS" sticky at the top of the Help & Advice section to see my little guide to stripping the phone). However, nobody sells spare covers or parts for the phone. HTC only service them, they don't do spares, Orange don't do anything. Some people have found some non-working phones on ebay and cannibalised them. Good luck dude, and if you do manage it - take some photos and post a log showing how to do more than just get to the screen (which is what mine covers). :D
Guest Confucious Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 HTC only service them, they don't do spares, I thought HTC refurbished them as well?
Guest Confused Stu Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Sorry for the confusion - I was counting refurbishing them under the heading of servicing them. I agree, I wasn't making myself clear. :D
Guest klinx Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 (edited) Well, i should be getting a new phone soon, when that comes through, i'll strip the phone down clean it all out (my spv c500), wipe it put on a new os and try to find a new cover...(i'll take pics aswell so long as i dont badword it up hahaha) ciao x Edited December 21, 2005 by klinx
Guest w411y Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Rather than looking for a spare why not paint or respray the current cover. Have a nice pink or something :)
