Guest simplyteenage Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 ive downloaded lots of kwl homescreens for my c500, but ive noticed that a lot have no screen for the volume control, rendering this useless. can any1 tel me how 2 simply put in a screen 4 this as it is very anoying!! :twisted:
Guest drblow Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 The volume screen is part of the 'extra' screens that can be skinned. Not all themes contain extra screens - any that do will be installed via a CAB file. IF you want to put one in yourself then you can do that by changing the registry entry for the bitmap file, which as far as I can remember is HKLM/Software/microsoft/Shell/Rai/VolDialog

Guest drblow Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 You would need the registry editor to do this yourself, and don't worry about messing up your phone! ;) But the easiest way if you are'nt comfortable with reg editing, is to just install a theme with a volume screen (one with a CAB installer), then change the images in the theme folder for whatever ones you like. The cab installation will take care of the registry edits, so all you need to do is copy over the images wherever they are installed to (eg. if you installed my Mac OsX theme, then the volume image would ne in Storage\Application Data\Home\Mac OsX).
