Another MPX220 Mini SD Card Problem

I just got a 512 MB Tosihiba mini SD card and can't get it to work at all. It came with an adapter to make it work with full sized SD cards, but when I try to plug it into the universal card reader on my PC it recognizes that something in there, but I can't explore or format it. When I plug it into the phone the phone blinks, but doesn't recognize the card. Sound like a card problem or a phone problem?

Am I doing something wrong? Am I retarded? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

I had kind of the same issue. I turned my phone off with the SD card in the phone, then turned it back on. Now it works fine.

Seems more like a card problem than a phone problem to me since it your computer doesn't recognize it also.

My card was recognized and usable right after placing it in my phone.

It does sound like a card problem. Tray another card and see, but the phone should read the card if it is okay.

By all means, format the card (use FAT as the File Format). If it is still unhappy in your phone, then consider switching card brands. I've been through hell and back with a Sandisk card sold by Best Buy as suitable for the MPx220. Never worked right, files and directories were corrupted and disappeared/reappeared at random. Other issues too.

Well, turns out that Sandisc mSD cards are NOT suitable for use in cell phones of any kind. Says so right on their web site.

Ordered a PQI card from OUtpost.com. It, and my phone, are now paragons of virtue, with perfect file stability, App performance and fidelity.

Get a card that is known to work. Send the other one back.

Good Luck

Lucky U! I had to buy a PQI card to get it to work.

Looking for a backup card?
