Guest iwod Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 Vodafone Jam Here Looks like every network is having their own Jam............. Which makes me thinks apart from colour what are the difference?
Guest mike-oh Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 I don't think there is much of a difference really. Orange have uglied things up by making it black and going for the different buttons which vodafone also seem to have gone with. And please tell me voda aren't going to have such a heeeuuuge logo across it!
Guest Chaser81 Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 And please tell me voda aren't going to have such a heeeuuuge logo across it! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You can bet they will. Vodafone love their branding. I'll bet they dont leave it at the logo either. Vodafone has a history of mucking with the software of devices on their network to make it easier for customers to get onto "Vodafone Live"... I can see people having real problems with these. I have my I-Mate Jam on Vodafone, but I bought the Jam specifically because its unbranded and has generic software on it.

I have a T68i, so I'm wondering if I could just take the sim out of that and stick it in the JAM? Where did you buy your JAM? I've had no probs with Vodaphone, and their rates are much better that T-Mobile. Tobes
Guest Chaser81 Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Bought it from www.phones2udirect.com. They do it on Vodafone contract from free depending what tariff you take.
Guest MitchellO Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 Yeah, vodafone do brand their phones badly. My sisters phone (Sagem My-V55) has an all-red interface, Vodafone start and end animations and vodafone written on the case. And that different style is just like the Orange version. The d-pad looks funny on that version. Do they include any extra accessories (eg. spare battery, SD memory)? I read somewhere that you can use a sugercube or something to remove the branding. I like the branding on mine (non obtrusive o2 and XDA Mini logo) so haven't tried it. Search the forums for the branding "cure".
