Guest c2fow Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 For the last week, my M2000 has taken to turning itself off on its own - sometimes 5 - 10 times a day. Any one else had this? I have the Orange cover - do they send out another one? Does any one know if I will be without it whilst it is mended? I have grown so used to it I think I will suffer big withdrawl symptons without it!! Tony
Guest WWWeed Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 Sounds like a hardware proplem, yeah orange should change it for free and in my experance a new one will be with you within 24 hours and you have to give the faulty one to the bloke who delivers the phone.........
Guest c2fow Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 Thank you for your comment - I thought I would try the spare battery last night and, low & behold, I have not had one drop out since! What I will do tomorrow is swap the batteries back over and see if it is replicable - if so, then it is consistent with the battery. Wierd but I suppose it is possible that there is a dodgy connection inside the battery itself. Tony.
Guest fraser Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 When the Orange guy does his switch with the replacement, normally you keep your own batteries. Might be worthwhile getting it replaced if you can sooner rather than later as batteries die due to wear and tear and it might be difficult to get a replacement.
