Guest awalt Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 I noticed this morning that my MPX220 would not sync. So I checked the settings, and I got an error message "Can't open any settings". So I started looking around, and this is true of pretty much all the settings! Even like Owner Information. It does not give any way to reset, and whiule it can connect to my PC nothing else happens. Has anyone seen this, and how can I recover? Thanks...
Guest hamsammich Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 Well, if worse comes to worse, you'll have to power down, press and hold the blue "ok" key, and then power it back up. That is the hard reset procedure, but it will get everything back to factory settings.
Guest bbb678 Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Setting up these connections can be tricky at times, so first off I would recommend looking at your manual a little closer. . . then if you are still having problems I would try giving Motorola customer service a call before following through with the hard reset procedure

I have no idea why it's doing it, and it just started today when i put my new SD chip in, althought now im thinking its totally unrelated. It seems to me like a security lockout has been triggered. I have no idea though Will.
Guest omega2008 Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 Certian miniSD cards DO NOT work well with the MPx 220 and cause problems with the phone. I am using a SanDisk 512mb card and had no problems, there is a brand that alot of people are saying gave them problems, though I can't remember what they were called.

Did it come with the adapter to regular SD? :D

Following recomendations, I replaced it with one from PQI. Worked like a charm and the phone is completely stable now. Anyone wanna buy a (very slightly) used mSD card? MadSci
