Guest pEmpty Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Does anyone know if you can use an SPV C500 as a modem for a laptop? Either using a dial in number or GPRS. Any advice would be very welcome. Thanks
Guest martin Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Yep, and it's very easy to setup. I use the C500 as a modem via the USB connection without any problems. Take a look at this topic in the FAQ section for some instructions. http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=89283

On my PC I have notices that one of the USB ports under Computer Hardware has a question mark and says that the software is not installed. I have already installed the new version of Activesynch several times (the 3.8 version). and still nothing. Is there something else I need to change in the phone to activate the modem link? I have also turned off the USB check box on active synch because the phone has requested that as well. Nothing! Please help. thank you.
Guest martin Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 Have you successfully installed the modem driver to the PC. Does the 'HTC USB modem' driver show up in the Control Panel - Phone and Modem Options (modems tab).
