Removing sd/mmc card?

could someone please tell me if is it possible to remove (and insert again) mmc card from the phone while it`s powered on? i want to use card reader to save mp3s on the card, but i dont know if it is safe to do that .... i bought it recently and i dont want to screw something up by removing the card....sorry for bad english, if any... :roll:

yes it is possible and safe to remove and insert the sd card while your phone is still on, but make sure that your accessing any files from it before you remove it or you will suffer from corrupted files.

I guess as an addendum to that, I had one 128meg card of generic origin that wouldnt work without a reboot of the phone....

Stick to sandisk and you should be ok..

It is safe, but sometimes the phone won't recognise the card when it's reinserted without doing a reboot.

i am using both sd and mmc cards... no problems but if you are using your ringtones from yr memory card, beware that your sound settings will reset to default if your phone rings and yr memory card with the ringtone is outta the phone..

other than that, no problems encountered.

Its perfectly safe to do so. I swap SDs all the time, just don't swap while something is already running off of the SD.
