There's an app called ProfiMail (or something like that) on Handango, but I've never used it

I was reading a while ago that someone used this for gmail to get it working.

incoming mail: pop.gmail.com:995

outgoing mail: smtp.gmail.com:465

I don't if it will help or not :D

ProfiMail is *very* nice and works well. It does have a couple drawbacks, such as not including SMS. You still have to use the Inbox app (or something else) to do SMS which is why I didn't reinstall ProfiMail last time I did a hard reset. Also, I had to use the imap interface to exchange (because POP3 has, does and always will be a second rate protocol) and ProfiMail wants to download everything without any limitations. It would be nice if you could specify "the last week" or something but you can't, that I saw, so it wanted to download 9000+ emails. No way. BUT...if your mailbox is of a reasonable size and you don't mind using something else for SMS, ProfiMail is hard to beat and it looks great. It does work with gmail as described above.

You might want to try going into your POP setting for gmail on the web and re-enabling. I have lost my gmail on my phone before re-enabling has cured it.
