Guest NateDawg Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 Hi, My C500 works fine with the headphones plugged in and it goes in the headset profile and the speaker on the phone is muted, but as soon as I recieve an SMS the speaker is turned on as well, and now you can hear whatever is playing on the headphones on the speaker and moreover the volume output is almost halved. Is this a known bug and is there a fix for this? I've already edited the Headset profile and turned OFF all the volume settings! Kindly come to the rescue. Thanks.
Guest Prof. Yaffle Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 (edited) I found this problem today as well. It happened when I was sat on a train using Betaplayer to listen to some MP3's. I received a call and afterwards didn't realise the speaker was playing the MP3's as well. Wondered why I was getting funny looks. Put it down as a one off but then received another call and didn't realise the same had happened again until I was wondering around a shop and took the earphones out whilst I paid for something. The only way I could find to cure it was to switch the phone off and back on again. Guest NateDawg Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Yeah, the ReBoot seems like the only fix to this! Does somebody have a fix this problem? I hate waiting almost an eternity for the phone to reboot to start listening to some music again!
Guest bluesxman Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 No answers, but I suffered this in the office - I couldn't understand why people wanted me turn the music down, I didn't think the headphones were that loud! Boy was I embarressed! Couldn't say for certain if I had a text msg or a call beforehand, but I'll watch out for it now, might make be a bit less paranoid when listening to music!
Guest bazzo Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 (edited) hi, when the speaker sounds while headphones are plugged in, does the profile change to "headset"? if not, it could be a hardware-failure in the female-plug. (or how do you call the little hole you put the jack in?) regards bazzo [edit] sry, you mentioned already in the first post, i should read more proper. [/edit] Edited March 10, 2005 by bazzo
