On mine, when I get a voicemail, I get a symbol at the top that looks like this: o_o

(the same symbol that's on the "1" key)

I didn't think there was a way to turn it off.

i've heard other people mention this...it might actually just be an issue with your service provider....talk to them and they should be able to take care of it.
