I read a few of your posts on the MGN forum as well. If Seirra Wireless is going to continue to release updates I am still very interested. Do you know of any other issues they plan to address?

Did you buy an unlocked phone and choose your provider, or did you get one from At&T or T-mobile? Have you had any issues installing applications?

I was going to try to get one from mobileplanet but they offer it with a t-mobile plan and I can't use T-mobile. I can get it from MP without a contract but I am not sure if it is setup for T-mobile assuming I would move an existing SIM to it, or if it is "truely" unlocked for any provider.

Does anyone know if it is simply a software upgrade to turn an SD to SDIO?

Thanks,

Brian

I got mine from Tigerdirect and had to get an AT&T plan with it (I was on T-mobile, but went to AT&T for the 850 band).

It comes unlocked and never really had an issues installing apps.

It feels sturdy, the keypad has a nice feel to it and a little better spacing then the Treo 600.

If you can live without bluetooth, this is a very nice phone.

One more question, as long as you don't mind telling, are you using the unlimited Data plan from Cingular/At&T? How much is it if you are? I have been quoted everything from 19.95/month to 24.99/month to 39.99/month.

Thanks,

Brian

unlimited USED to be 19.99, then they changed it to 24.99 a month and took away the SMS and MMS messages that were packaged with it. The 39.99 a month plan is for PDA's, and *SOME* smartphones (not all). There's also a MUCH more expensive plan for laptops.

Bottom line is, the 24.99 (old 19.99 plan) works with any and all of the above. If you're already on a GSM phone, just call and upgrade to the unlimited plan for 24.99 (which I'm betting will come down again) and don't tell them what device it's for.

I run mine on T-Mobile with the unlimited data plan. I did not need to go to ATT/Cingular as T-Mobile has a roaming agreement with them.

New firmware works nice.

Ironic that the only Smartphone with next to no possibility of storing albums for Windows Media Player is the only one that offers an upgrade route to WMP10!

How does it have next to no possibility for storing albums?

The Voq doesn't have extra storage in the form of an sd slot does it?

The limited phone storage makes this far from ideal as an mp3 player.

How many albums could you fit before getting error messages? 1? If that...
