Guest league Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Hi Are there any guides or info on how to use my internet broadband connection on my desktop pc , using the bluetooth connection which is setup ok with active sync , if not is it possible with the usb connection direct to the phone. I am using smartphone Orange C500 on the orange network. any help appreciated as always regards league
Guest ciudatelu Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 It is also possible via Bluetooth, if connected to the PC via ActiveSync. First of all, make sure that on the PC, in ActiveSync > Options > Rules, the Connection option is set to "The Internet". After that, on your C500 go to Settings > Data Connections and select Passthrough connection. Be sure you are connected to the pc via ActiveSync, otherwise the Passthrough option will not appear.
Guest declank Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 Spot on. If I set to automatic, will it set to pass thru by default ? Cheers, Dec
Guest chucky.egg Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 On Automatic it uses Pass-thru if it's there or GPRS if it isn't (and I guess CSD if GPRS isn't available) Having said that some things don't like the Automatic setting.
Guest filao Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 Is there any such thing as a Wireless LAN to Bluetooth Router, so that I could place such a device downstairs and it would connect to my Wireless router upstairs AND provide bluetooth connectivity downstairs? I know you can get wired LAN to Bluetooth, but I'd prefer a wireless one
