How do you Upgrade the ROM ?

I have the MDA Compact on T-mobile in the UK.... where do you get these Upgrades from and how do you install them ??

Are these upgrades actually worth getting ??

ROM upgrades are usually available for download from your operator's website and there will be instructions to follow.

Generally though, you just download an exe file (the iMate upgrade is 42mb) to your PC and run it when connected with ActiveSync.

I haven't bothered with the iMate upgrade yet as I've got the camera patch and don't have a problem with call quality. This is all that seems to be included in this version of the ROM.

Some of the Bluetooth problems seemed to have been ironed out. A bluetooth headset can now'wake' the Jam to do a last number re-dial when it couldn't before. Also there was a known bug when on a bluetooth headset call the recipient couldn't hear you after 8mins or so - due to the device going to sleep. This also appears to be fixed. I have not had it since the upgrade.

I tried to register my MDA Compact on ClubiMate to download the patch.

IMEI is not recognised.

Support have said:
