Guest Smartphone XP Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 I searched, as well as browsed around, and didn't find any info. Does a Talking Caller ID application exist for our Windows Mobile Smartphones? I know you can "sort of" make it work by recording a WAV/MP3/WMA with someone's name and setting that as a custom ring tone. What I am looking for is an application that would use voice synthesis to say the name.
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Microsoft's Voice Command software does just that, but is not available for Smartphones just yet. My point being that it may be just around the corner :D
Guest MrDSL Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 I was just gonna ask if microsofts voice recon.. is available for smartphones.. Thats a big bummer :-(
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 An item in Guardian Online today suggests that it will be available soon. Looks like they got their info from a Handango press release. You'll all just have to be patient - it'll be worth the wait :D
