Guest filao Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Yesterday I sent my C500 back to HTC because the Back button had stopped working. Went through the HTCEurope website to book it in, and got my case no/password. Just logged in now expecting them to have just received it and this is a direct copy-paste from my login: Timestamp Status 09/03/2005 10:51:30 RECEIVED 09/03/2005 15:31:39 REPAIRING 09/03/2005 15:38:36 REPAIRED 09/03/2005 17:18:57 FT_PASS I know this is only a small fix but to have fixed it in that quick a time is unbelievable!! (Just thought I'd share this with you all) By the way, what does a FULL COSMETIC include for the C500? Is it all outer shell replaced as well as keypad?
Guest mavisdavis Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 from exprerience a full cosmetic is screen circuit board keys n case. I had my wifes Panasonic GD87 done once and thats what it said on the receipt. Basically a brand new phone :D
Guest Pondrew Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 from exprerience a full cosmetic is screen circuit board keys n case. I had my wifes Panasonic GD87 done once and thats what it said on the receipt. Basically a brand new phone :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I had my 11 month old E200 refurbished by HTC months ago (at the same time as having them repair the joystick fault under warranty - bargain as warranty then paid for the postage and packing). I'm pretty sure the full cosmetic refurb is just external, ie the motherboard and lcd are put in a new case with new keyboard...
Guest James Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 7 Mins to fix the phone??? what the hell can you fix in 7 minutes!!! how much is the full cosmetic? anyone know?
Guest chucky.egg Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 (edited) Full Cosmetic costs £15 (if you're claiming for a warranty thing at the same time, otherwise you have to pay for P&P etc) My repair took 50 seconds! My full cosmetic thing on my C500 included: Front case Keypad Battery cover Aerial cover Camera lens Silver-frame-thing Grey-frame-thing that the battery sits in (I think) But the number keys on my new keyboard is noticably loose, as though the keys themselves have been reduced in size by about 0.5 - 1.0 mm. It just means that the keys kinda rattle around in the front cover a bit. :D Edited March 10, 2005 by chucky.egg
