Using C500 on Vodafone how easy is it?

Hi

First post on here so hope im doing it properly hehe

I currently have a 7610 on a vodafone contract but really miss having a windows phone so strongly considering getting a C500 on either a cheap contract (throw away the orange sim and using my vodafone sim as im on a great tariff) or pay and go.

Im confused tho as to how easy it is to unlock to allow my vodafone pay monthly sim to work and then also how to get my vodafone internet / mms etc settings on to the c500. Id firstly bought my 7610 on orange and had loads of problems with orange locking and removing Nokia application so im probably assuming they will do the same with the c500.

Could anyone help me out with this or let me know whether its too much bother (hope its not)

Unlocking (network as opposed to application) a C500 costs £20 from wwww.imei-check.co.uk and the voda settings can be found here http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showforum=138

Shouldn't be a problem but as I'm usinhg orange I haven't tried myself,
